Ivery Arie: The Contemporary African Woman is an online empowerment platform that serves to inspire African women through our own stories. We recognize the need to share our personal experiences and unique stories as it relates to the African woman to build a sisterhood and positively impact our community. Through rich online content and events, our vision is to create an empowered group of women for the next generation.

Who is A Contributing Writer?

A Contributing Writer for Ivery Arie: The Contemporary African Woman otherwise known as CAW is an individual who has a passion for supporting and empowering women located at home and diaspora through thoughtful content creation including writing, podcasting, videoing or any other approved forms of media. The contributing writers can submit content as it relates to their personal experiences, their passion in all aspects that embodies the African woman.

How Do the Contributing Writers fit into the vision of Ivery Arie?

•Using unique writing styles, the contributing writer adds a diverse voice to the blog based on the personal experiences of the content creators
•Shed light on issues & empowerment topics contemporary African women face in many areas of our lives.

How do contributing writers benefit from Ivery Arie?

As a contributing writer, you must be willing to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Expected to commit to at least 6 months
  • Must be willing to submit at least 1 original articles per month (500 – 1000 words). Articles must be original and exclusive to Ivery Arie. Self-plagiarism is still considered plagiarism
  • Ivery Arie is looking for diverse, unique and personal write ups as it relates to African women– not generic cliché we’ve all read multiple times before.
  • You should back up your points with a mix of personal anecdotes, examples from reliable sources – with embedded links to your sources.
